Kirschner Mountain

Multi-phase hillside development (Kelowna, BC)

Kirschner Mountain is a master-planned hillside community in Kelowna, BC. As lead Development Manager since 2023, Ascend Development Partners works closely with the Owner to align engineering, servicing, and approvals across multiple phases with the City of Kelowna, BMID, and other regulatory bodies.

As a multi-phase project with many moving parts, there are always several priorities on the go. Since coming onto the file, we have supported the registration of one single-family phase (19 lots) and one multi-family phase, managed multiple development permit applications, and led a zoning amendment process. We were also engaged to help the Owner transition between civil engineering firms, facilitating master planning and servicing workshops with consultants and the City to re-establish a clear path forward.

Currently, our team is coordinating engineering design and submissions for two stormwater management systems and progressing a new phase of 35 single-family lots toward registration. Our role includes day-to-day coordination with surveyors, lawyers, three different engineering teams, the civil contractor, the City, and BMID—ensuring that technical work, municipal feedback, and owner priorities stay connected and on schedule.

With over 100 acres still to develop, long-range planning and phasing strategy remain active. We’re proud to support the Owner in shaping the next stages of this growing hillside community.  Check out their main website here at Kirschner Mountain.  Stay tuned for updates on upcoming lots and/ or homes for sale.
